This program is offered as a transition for Canskate skaters who have reached Stage 4 in the CanSkate Program.

Programming provides individual and group instruction by Professional Figure Skating Coaches on the basics of figure skating.  Skaters are responsible for coaching costs over and above ice time fees.  Skaters are provided ice time several per week based on the fees paid.

Group stroking and off-ice training is provided within the program.  Skaters are encouraged to enter the Preliminary Skate Canada test programs.

This program is designed for the Advanced STARSkater who has progressed through Junior Develpment.  Coaches will advise parents when skaters are prepared to approach this level of training.  Instruction by a team of coaches provides skaters the opportuntity to test their skills in Free Skate, Ice Dancing, and Skills.

Training focuses and prepares skaters for attendance at local competitions as well as opportunities for advancement to provincial, national, world, and Olympic-level competitions.  The Advanced STARSkater is challenged to learn, develop, and accomplish skating skills to achieve their personal goals.

Skaters have a choice of working with coaches in semi-private and private lessons to focus their practice time on skating skills and abilities.  Group Stroking and Off-ice Training is included in the registration fee.

Senior Skaters, 11 years and older, have the option to offset ice costs as Program Assistants with the Canskate Program.
